Attempts To Access The Internet. You ll only see this option if you are sharing a dial-up connection. Connection. This option, which is new in Windows XP, allows ICS clients to essentially control the connection. In a small home or office network, this setting might work well. Basically, users can manage the shared connection as though it was physically located on their computers. There are a few issues to consider though, and you can learn more about them in the next section.
